Updated for the 2026–27 LSAT. No Logic Games. In-center testing.
If you want to go to law school but have no idea where to start with the LSAT, this is the guide I wish someone had handed me.
I'm a first-gen law grad. I didn't have anyone to ask what a good score was, when to register, or whether I needed a $2,000 course. This guide is me being that person for you.
Inside (45 pages):
How the current LSAT works: sections, scoring, the Argumentative Writing essay, and the 2026 move to in-person testing
How to take a diagnostic, set a target score, and figure out how much time you actually need
8-, 12-, and 16-week study plans
Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension strategy
How to review your mistakes, which is where most of your points come from
What's free, what's worth paying for, and what to skip
Where the LSAT fits in your application timeline, plus retakes and Score Preview
A test-day checklist, printable trackers, and answers to the questions you keep asking me
This is not an LSAT course, and it doesn't contain LSAT questions. It's the roadmap that makes whatever prep you choose actually work.
Instant PDF download.
